What You Will Do:
- Contribute to the design, development, and operation of scalable, resilient data infrastructure supporting observability, logging, alerting, and metrics for Confluent Cloud.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to build and maintain core components of the Cloud Manageability platform, such as Health+, Metrics API, and Alert Platforms.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code while gaining hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native technologies.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning to continuously improve the quality and performance of our systems.
- Take ownership of small projects and deliver features that directly impact the reliability and usability of Confluent Cloud for internal and external users.
What You Will Bring:
- A recent graduate who will be working remotely based in the UK with a UK address at the time of application
- Graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master's program in Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms and proficiency in at least one of these languages: Java, C, C++, Python, Go
- Self-motivated and able to drive projects with mentorship and project requirements
- Smart, humble, and empathetic and able to work effectively in teams and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ready to make an IMPACT -- Driven and excited about the challenges of a fast-paced, innovative, and quickly growing software development environment
